I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Overall, I liked the book and it’s message and it’s really different than what I usually read so it was a nice change of pace. I really liked the 5 different story lines and that they were so different and yet they were all connected by the common experience. The ending was pretty good but not totally satisfying, but I think that was the author’s point that with something like motherhood it’s not always clear. I feel like there was so much of this book that could have been shortened in some way, it had so many storylines that I felt like some of them got lost in the overall story of the book. Like there were so many plots and I don’t really feel like they were all tied up. Like so are Katy and Anita good now? It’s not really made clear, in the end it felt like a plot point that was needed at one point and then the author decided to go a different way so she cut it. Also like Mel and Leo just didn’t make 100% sense to me, in that it just never really felt like she forgave him or at least we didn’t really get to see that moment. Also Erin had a great story and I felt like she was on the back burner compared to everyone else like I really liked her and wish I had gotten more of her. And with Lexi I just feel like there was even more of an opportunity with her and Gary that could have been touched on but I really wanted this to be a romance and it really wasn’t. Also with Rebecca and Lenny like I liked their story line but I also felt like Lenny sucked and he changed a little but I just felt like Rebecca was too good for him. All in all 4 cups of tea. – HannahI received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Accidental Babies

Okay I ended up really enjoying this book. It was a bit of a slow start not going to lie but once it got going there was a lot in there. I was really surprised by a lot of the twists and I only caught maybe like one of them. The end was really surprising but I liked that Saiyidah Rahman really kept stringing you along, I really had no idea until right up until the end who the person behind everything was. I really liked how the twins were comfortable with her from the start and how much of a storyline they were. Every scene with them in it was really heart warming. I had a couple issues because I’m not really that big into a possessive storyline and Jason was a little for a bit but otherwise I really enjoyed the book and it was nice because SPOILER they never break up. Which was honestly nice to see because with all the twists and turns I seriously couldn’t deal with that along with everything else. So overall 4 cups of tea and with that cliffhanger I can’t wait to read the next one! – Hannah

Pushing His Luck

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

So, I liked this book but I also had a lot of issues with this book. So I love this series especially the first two books, but after those it kind of dropped off for me. First I’m going to start with the things I liked. Honestly, I love that it’s in the same universe as the other books and I like how involved the characters in the previous books are. I also liked Charley and Chris together I think they made a good pair but I will say I’m confused as to why Kira Archer had Chris and Cass together to just have them separate but then also Cass was involved in this book in a capacity. I just felt like it was such an unnecessary plot point from the second book. Especially because we never really find out why Cass and Chris broke up so it just feels like a major plot hole to me. Also, I know this would have been too similar to her last book but I really wish that Chris had shown up at the plane the boardroom thing after just didn’t really do it for me. It was cute but it wasn’t what I think the characters deserved. Also, honestly I’m really disappointed with the epilogue, I liked that we know that the other characters have more kids and stuff but I wish that Charley and Chris were at least engaged or had a kid themselves instead of it being that they’ve been together for 3 years and nothing. Overall, I enjoyed it but it wasn’t my favorite.I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. We Met in December

I this book was a wonderful romcom. It had everything that could make it a perfect movie. The stereotypical best friends and the flat mate relationship plot. The descriptions in this book were great, I felt as though I could see the characters in real life and be able to pick them out of a crowd. It was the writing style that just didn’t work for me. I hate to say it, but it was such a slow burn it felt like there was no burn at all. I thought that I was going to love it, but instead I just felt like I was waiting forever for anything to happen. Normally, I love a two point perspective but in this book I felt like that was stringing me along. Automatically you know that the two characters are most likely going to end up together but in this book it wasn’t until spoiler alert** the epilogue** that you get to see them as a couple.

Scotland or Bust

So I have to be honest this really wasn’t my favorite. It is the third in the series and I just felt like it fell short compared to the other two. I really liked the first two books in this series and I still feel like Kira Archer does a great job at incorporating the characters from the other book but I just didn’t feel much of a connection to the Harrison and Nicole. I just felt like they weren’t that developed and I wasn’t really rooting for them that much. Though I will admit the ending was super cute and I really liked that it came full circle. Overall though it just wasn’t really for me so 3 cups of tea. – Hannah

On the Line

I liked the idea of the book, but it let me down. I don’t think the characters were stable, some of their actions were questionable, it felt inconsistent with the characters the author was trying to achieve. I felt like Maddie’s mood swings where just plot points and not an accurate representation of being a teenager. Character development was okay, I felt like I knew what he would do but I don’t know if she was the same, her character was a little underdeveloped. While I thought I would enjoy the plot idea of the sexting mixed with being the employee, it just felt like he was hitting on the hot nanny. Maybe it’s just me but I felt like comic books are cool but it felt overplayed in this book. Like it was trying too hard to be a romcom and spoiler alert there was no epilogue.

The Dating Charade

I was immediately enthralled in this love story as soon as Cassie was talking about how she wished she could find someone like the firefighter outside her window and then the perspective changed to Jett, the firefighter outside the window. The character development was good, the reader got a very strong view of the characters opinions and attributes which made me, as a reader, feel as though I knew the characters like they were my best friends and each decision was their own to make. The plot was great very entertaining, and that is what drew to read this book in the first place, the idea was very interesting and a reader feels captivated by the story. Writing style was great not too much description but not too little as you didn’t remember what the characters looked like. The only thing i didn’t like as much was that I wish the epilogue was longer and the lead up to them finding out their kids was a little shorter. Overall, good instalove, slow-burn, with kids book.

The Billionaire’s Unexpected Baby

Okay so I actually liked this book more than the first one but I couldn’t quite bump it up to a 4.5 or 5 cups of tea for reasons I’ll explain. So I will say that I really liked the premise of this book like I love a fake marriage that turns into a real one and this one really delivered on that front. I must give Kira Archer credit because she does a great job adding to a universe while not ruining the past book but instead really enhancing it and getting to see the characters that I really liked from the first book. Honestly, Brooks just seems like literally the sweetest guy ever like he was so attentive and just nice and perfect for Leah. They were so comfortable with each other from the beginning and again Kira Archer really brings the banter, there were quite a few times where I smiled or smirked while reading. I also like that the conflict doesn’t really last long, I always appreciate that, I can’t take like a super long period where there’s confusion over where they stand and stuff. Moving on to the things that I wasn’t as enamored with I honestly just have some questions. Did Leah ever find out what Marcus did to Brooks? Like I feel like that could have been a great plot point and it was completely ignored. Also, I feel like the guy forcing the girl away is such a cliche and much prefer it when it’s something a little out of the box. Overall though I did really like the book so I give it 4 cups of tea. – Hannah

69 Million Things I Hate About You

I really liked this book! If you’re looking for a fun I hate my boss I’m going to torture him while we fall in love then this is the perfect book for you! Instantly I was really pulled in by the fun banter that Kira Archer creates for the characters, I need a funny element in every book I read and this book definitely served that. I think Kira Archer does a great job in making you feel like you really know these characters inside and out and every response throughout the book was exactly how I thought they would respond. There were a few things that I had issues with, the reason for the 4 cups of tea, but overall I really enjoyed this book. I feel like Kiersten and Cole had a really cute story and that everything felt so natural as it all slid into place. Kira Archer also does a great job at developing the secondary characters in the book especially Cass, Izzy and Brooks. So all in all 4 cups of tea! – Hannah

Don’t you Forget about Me

It was so good it made me cry, I know crying is usually seen as a bad thing but this story was so powerful, that I could not simply contain the emotions this wonderful author allowed me to feel. This book displays serious issues such as gaslighting and SPOILER ALERT** rape**. The story felt like I was living it, the characters were incredibly well developed. Georgina’s character was so detailed that one could picture sho she was and what she would do in response to anything and Lucas was also a well rounded character, even though the story is not told from his perspective. Overall, I found this book to be a wonderful read that felt real and I would definitely read and reread it! It was accurate representation of real issues and entertaining with the authors wonderful witty and sarcastic writing.
