I loved this book! The character development was great! I felt like I knew Zandy and Tiger, and the book expanded, but didn’t completely change Tiger’s character from earlier novels in the series! I enjoyed how Zandy didn’t immediately give in to Tiger. I also appreciated the further glimpse into the other characters, like Trisha and Slade. I really like how the males become addicted to their mates scent, it gives the reader a sense of security that the couple will stay together. Overall 4.5 cups of tea for an angel becoming Zandy’s prince.
Okay I loved this book but I also had a few issues with this book. First, I must say that Meghan Quinn’s writing is absolutely amazing. It’s so well written and just so real, I love the dialogue and the way that texting is incorporated in the book. There’s just something about the way she writes about the sport and describes characters, it’s just ugh so good. Obviously though I have a few issues which is why I gave it a four. Mostly my biggest issue is the ending! So SPOILER ALERT I knew something brutal was going to happen and I hate this break up thing it’s like The Locker Room all over again except this time it’s the guy and not the girl. I feel like Meghan Quinn breaks them up so that they can mature and come into the relationships again as an adult and I get that but this break sucks. It just made me so upset because I don’t think the characters would have necessarily done this especially I just don’t feel like Carson would do that to Milly! But honestly it’s so similar to Knox and Emory’s story from The Locker Room which I also loved except for the ending! I just hate the break up so much but at least they weren’t apart for as long as The Locker Room. SPOILER ALERT OVER. Anyway, I really did enjoy this book so 4 cups of tea! – Hannah
There are a lot of things I like about this book but also quite a few that I don’t so I guess I’ll just dive right in. I’ll start with the things I liked, I thought it was generally really funny. Violet was a riot, very entertaining banter between her and Alex. Also, the secondary characters were great I loved Charlene and Buck and even her mom and Sidney. Generally super developed characters that didn’t make any decisions that surprised me at least with everyone but Alex. Here in lies my biggest issue, I think the whole conflict was generally so weird. I really didn’t like it, I felt like it was created because honestly Alex was too sweet and I feel like he would have told his agent off about this whole thing and the conflict just generally felt wrong. I did like that Violet held out on forgiving him though because it was a horrible thing he did. I also just don’t understand why he didn’t just say fudge it to the agent instead of acting upon it. I just felt like it wasn’t a choice that I thought he would make. But oh well. Overall I mostly enjoyed it so I give it 3.5 cups of tea. – Hannah
So overall I liked this book but it wasn’t my favorite. I did like the main characters, Travis and Georgie were great. I especially liked Georgie, I found her super relatable and she was super funny which I enjoyed. It was branded as a romcom and it didn’t disappoint. Also, Tessa Bailey did a great job at giving the second hand characters a lot of dimension, they were so developed. Especially Rosie and Bethany. They were great side characters and I’m excited to read Rosie’s story which is coming next. On Travis’s side it was a really good slow burn too and love those types of books. I think my main issue was that there was a bit too much inner dialogue, I just felt like there was a lot of time spent in the book where they were reflecting and thinking. Don’t get me wrong I love seeing how people think but when it slows down the plot not so much. So in general I felt like the beginning moved really slowly and the end moved a bit too fast. But overall it was a really good well written book so 4 cups of tea! – Hannah
I loved this book! It was a really fun read, not too much drama and its fated mates! I love when the two characters have two different perspectives, because you know they’ll end up together, but I also immensely enjoy when the two main characters are fated to be together. It makes the reader to feel assured that these two characters aren’t splitting up next month. I liked the character development in this novel. An aspect I appreciated was the evolution of graham, how he wasn’t quite the same as before he met missy, the author showed how he was learning, which I feel is a really important step with the mated books. Authors often assume they don’t have to show the two learning how the characters fit together because they are meant for each other. Missy’s character was as well developed as graham’s and almost a common human perspective so the author could then explain what her werewolves and vampires do. I also liked how it was instalove for him but a slow burn for her so it gave you a nice mix of both. Overall, loved the book and I would recommend to anyone who is looking for the next fated mate book!
I again looooved this book. This series in general was so good and I cruised through each book. This one might have been my favorite in the whole series so far though. I always love a forced into marriage plot line because it also leads to so much fun about well do we share a room, are we allowed to sleep together and so on. It just makes it so much more interesting. Odette Stone does a great job of plot variation even though this one was similar to Home Game but still there was something entirely unique about it. The fact that Ryan and Zoey were so prevalent was fantastic and I love Krista and when I saw a sneak peak from the next one and saw that she was the focus I got so happy. Also the Andrew plot line was so good it really kept me guessing and I never expected the way that it turned out so I think it was so well done. Some plot points were a little played but it didn’t mean I didn’t love them anyway. Overall, I absolutely loved this book so I give it 5 cups of tea!
I really liked this book, warning this is the sequel to Puck Me Secretly but honestly you could read this book without reading the first one they’re totally unconnected. The only thing is that they’re in the same universe. The way the two of them met was so cute that she helped him with his receipts and stuff and I like that the fact that she was good at that was kept through the book. I honestly couldn’t put this book down I liked it so much. I was really impressed by Odette Stone in that she was able to create a great follow up that was just as good as the first which I also loved, see my review on Puck Me Secretly. Zoey and Ryan were so cute together and I loved their roommate relationship. I hated the fact that she moved out but it was a really fair point that his mom said about them never being equals unless she stood on her own two feet. I just wish that he had handled it better. Side note I wish there was more from the previous story because I wanted to see where Rory and Max were but c’est la vie, it wasn’t their story so I did appreciate the bit of separation. I’m very excited to see Mica’s story now though because of the epilogue where he seems to be in some sort of trouble. Overall though I really liked this book, 5 cups of tea! – Hannah
I enjoyed this book! The author does a really good job of plot variation. Even though there have been thirty books in the series I don’t feel like a plot has been repeated! In this novel the main love interest had a vampire child yet she herself is not a vampire. I liked the idea and I felt like the child wasn’t quite characterized enough, it felt as though he was the perfect gentleman at 4 and didn’t have much of a personality. I liked the Christian background, wasn’t too extreme but it also gave the main character a bit of fear of love turning what is normally in this series an insta love book into a slow burn which I liked. The main characters both had troubled pasts, which gave this novel a more interesting feel rather than the typical vampire who is a rogue hunter and doesn’t really have a notable background. I liked the return to Port Henry featuring all of the life mates there was cute. This is a secret, but I accidentally, pun not intended, read Elvi’s story first, The Accidental Vampire, so this book was a really fun read for me, it reminded me why I read these books in the first place.

I really liked this one! Also warning this is the 30th book in the series. I really liked the plot of this one, it was so different than the others. From the second the book started I was really intrigued and interested in finding out how everything would come together. It made me really interested in Stella and how everything would fit together. I will say that I found some of it a little obvious but who doesn’t love that. I loved Liam being her son it was so cute and he seemed so sweet and I generally really enjoyed Magnus and Allie they were really nice together and Magnus was so nice in not pressuring her and just being there. Their relationship seemed perfect and Lynsay Sands does such a great job at creating love stories and the writing is just always sooooo good! My one big thing is that I want Stephanie to really have a story, I love every book that she’s in, she’s just a great character. I know that she’s too young to really get a story but this constant limbo of she’s great but she’s not at the same time and that Dani avoids her like the plague. I just want everything to be resolved when it comes to her I just feel like she deserves to be okay, she’s been through so much. All in all I enjoyed this one a lot and I give it 4 cups of tea! – Hannah
This doesn’t represent these books, but Twilight is Twilight
I loooooved this book. It started out really great because of the plane situation and the way they instantly had a connection. Odette Stone did such a great job creating the plot of this book, it really kept me reading too because there were so many things to figure out. I also thought that the focus on the sport was great, that it was the centerpiece but it wasn’t really all about the sport itself. Also he was so sweet and it’s so unfortunate that he had to deal with all that fall out from his fight when he was just being a good person. I also felt that Rory was a really relatable character and I enjoyed her and really liked her choices especially when she went to talk to Max after the conversation that her dad scripted for her. Mostly I got so frustrated at points with everyone around them but I was so excited to see how they fixed it so I just kept reading. My only issue is that I liked the epilogue but I wanted even more of an epilogue like I really wanted to see their future. I just hope that they’re featured in the next book! Overall 5 cups of tea!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I’m iffy about this book. There were a lot of things I really liked but also a few that I didn’t at all. I love the Anderson Universe and I’m really glad that we’re back in it but I wish that there was more of the rest of the family though it is nice that it’s a brand new series, the scene with Bree was a little weird just because she was only in it for literally like 10 pages and then never mentioned again. Brooke mentions liking his family but I wish we would have been able to see those interactions. I really liked Finn and Brooke and I liked that he was wholeheartedly in from the beginning and that he had to convince her. I really like that type of book where it’s the guy convincing the girl that they’re made for each other. I feel like there was so much room in this book and it was just a lot of time in her head, with instead of her living her life outwardly it was just so much thinking. Sometimes thinking is a nice touch but it just felt so unnecessary and was used to stretch out the book. Overall it was just too long for what it was. My biggest issue though is I feel like she became a different person by the end, like almost none of her spunk was left which was just depressing and I mean the ending was cute but I wish the epilogue had been about them and not hinting at the future story. I will say that Melody Anne does a great job of developing side characters because I loved Chloe and Sarah and I can’t wait for their stories. because you know that Chloe will end up with Brandon and Sarah will end up with Noah. So overall I just had to give this book 3 cups of tea, it was good and entertaining but I had a few issues. – Hannah
