First of all I was super excited to start reading this book because I absolutely love Meghan Quinn’s writing style. She does such a great job of writing comedy and fantastic side characters. And this book didn’t disappoint! It was the same fantastic writing that I loved in the first two books. Technically this is a standalone but there are 2 books that take place before this one that I would read first: The Locker Room and The Dugout. Both of which were great except one detail that if you want to check them out you can read my reviews here: https://theweeklyromance.home.blog/2019/08/23/the-locker-room/ and https://theweeklyromance.home.blog/2019/10/10/the-dugout/. Anyway, was very excited to dive right back into this world. It was super nice because while the second one (The Dugout) took place before the ending of The Locker Room, this one took place after the end of both. So it was so nice getting to see the happy endings for the other two and how things are still going great. Moving on, I was literally reading the book and then was like Dottie, Dottie, why does that ring a bell? And then I realized it was one of Emory’s friends from the first book and was like omg this is great I’m even more excited. So here’s the thing, I ended up liking Jason more because he was literally the sweetest guy ever, like so kind and caring and at times Dottie was difficult at least when reading Jason’s perspective, in her own perspective though everything seemed to make sense and though I didn’t agree with all of her decisions, I understood them. I found that the plot was a bit too obvious though, that he would find out and everything would be “ruined” but I have to say it was super nice to see her reaction being very un-Dottie like and it made me feel more connected to her and it made me like her more as a character. I’m just glad it didn’t take them EIGHT YEARS (still mad at that The Locker Room) to figure it all out. Anyway, I really liked this book but it wasn’t my favorite out of the three so I give it 4 cups of tea! – Hannah
