Unfortunately, I found this book to be really disappointing. I love Samantha Whiskey (as you can tell if you look at my posts) but I think this was my least favorite book of hers yet. I’ll start with the positives before I dive into the negatives though. I do love this series and the general people involved and the characters were relatively well developed. I think my major issues was that the author relied far too much on the previous books for establishing the characters so there was no character establishment in the book at all. I just felt no real connection to them at all. Usually, Samantha Whiskey does a great job setting it all up but I just felt slightly too thrown into the plot. Usually there’s a little buildup but there was almost none in this case. Overall, it was decent but just not up to how good I know that her books can be so I give it 3 cups of tea. – Hannah
