The Setup

Wow what a book, I laughed, I cried and then I laughed again. Anyone who reads these posts knows that I’m an unapologetic Meghan Quinn fan (I’ve read every one of her books in this series). This one did not disappoint. I think this might have been my favorite one so far. I was super excited to read this book because as I stated above I love this series but also we’ve been seeing Lincoln in the more recent books especially in the last one and it was really nice to see this guy who was always super sweet get his happy ending. I didn’t realize that it was going to be almost entirely at college until I started reading and realized but that’s on me because I just jumped right in without really reading the blurb. I loved his moms they might have been my favorite part of the whole book, just fantastic side characters. No one can construct a story like Meghan Quinn with so many characters that you love and wish you get to eventually see their stories too. In some ways I found the breakup moment to be more devastating but in other ways I found it easier. It’s Meghan Quinn so there’s always going to be some sort of breakup/parting of ways and I honestly am always dreading the moment that I know will come. The only thing about this whole book that I didn’t like was the pacing, I felt that it dragged a bit in the middle even as she was trying to speed it up and then I felt that the ending was a bit rushed. Other than that though it was a great book, 5 cups of tea! – Hannah
