This book was really sweet and good. First of all, this is part of the Carolina Reapers Series which features: Sawyer, Connell and Logan. I was super excited to read this book because I loved the rest of the series and the Seattle Sharks series which this is a spin off of. I think Samantha Whiskey does a great job at creating a real romance between the main characters and this book is no exception to that general rule. I loved the plot it was great except for the part that he kept feeling like he didn’t deserve her, that drove me crazy. Half the book was in his head with him just saying the same thing over and over again that she could do so much better. Just generally not a fan because I’m of the mindset of everyone can make their own decisions but oh well. Generally though the relationship between Persephone and Cannon was so nice to see because it has been hinted at for so long in this series ever since she fell on him. Also Cannon is just such a great guy and what a great back story for him and even for Persephone. The author did such a great job of humanizing her as well because though she was super rich she had a bit of an edge to her. Maybe this was just me because I was slightly separated from the series but something just felt a little off and I think that was because there wasn’t as much of the outside life as the rest of the series. This one was really about Cannon and Persephone not the whole team which is good but also felt kind of isolated. Also what happened to Porter????? Anyway, overall I really liked this one, I give it 4 cups of tea. – Hannah
