The Ex Effect

Okay this book was really cute but I did have a couple issues with it. I’ll start with what I liked before moving on to the things I didn’t like as much. Okay first Matthew was maybe the sweetest character I have ever read about, like ridiculous and kind of unreal. I also liked the plot because it was really different than most of the things I read and it was a really solid follow up to the first book in this series, The Bombshell Effect. Also I generally just thought Matthew and Ava were really cute together and Ava was a great character in the first book so I was excited to read her story though not gonna lie I was hoping it would be Page’s but hers is next so I’m excited. Also I was kind of on edge for most of the book because they were hiding their relationship from her family which is a kind of medium thing for me. I liked it in the sense that I kept reading to see what would happen but I was also kind of scared for the majority of the book. On to the things I didn’t like that we went back in time from the last epilogue to where the book took place it was kind of weird to get my storyline right. Also, I just generally didn’t like the plot of Logan being into her as well it was just really weird and didn’t do it for me so it made me slightly uncomfy. Lastly, I’m so upset that we don’t get to see how Ashley deals with Matthew, like we get a slight glimpse but we don’t get a real conclusion to that part of the story. Overall, I liked this book and I give it 4 cups of tea. – Hannah
