I was super excited to read this book because I’d heard good things and I also had never read a romance novel written by a guy so I was curious. Also reading the description I was very excited for the story but in so many ways it just really fell short. The humor was pretty good which was the shining light and the beginning was good and intriguing. However, it started to slowly go downhill from there. First of all, the dialogue began to get extremely stilted and stiff, so the one thing going for it was now kind of weird and off. All of the actions and thoughts were actually very robotic and just didn’t feel like how a real person would feel. Also I thought that when she turned out to be pregnant it would be like at the end of college for both of them and it would be mostly outside of the college setting. Yet she was pregnant like 400 miles away from him. It was so weird that it was long distance but with a pregnancy just like not great. Also, I really didn’t like the style of the story telling, it felt like there would be a scene and then a jump in time and another scene. There was no real explanation for the passage in time, which is honestly just bazaar and kind of hard to read. All in all, it just wasn’t for me because of everything I mentioned before but oh well, I give it 3 cups of lukewarm tea. – Hannah
