Grinder

I liked this book! It was really good and I’m excited because it’s only the first in a rather long series. So I’m excited to read the rest of them. Anyway, there were a lot of things that I really enjoyed about this book. First I absolutely loved Bailey I thought she was an amazing lead character. Totally developed and I understood every decision she made. Also, Lettie was the absolute cutest when she calls Bailey “my bailey” it was so touching. I simply couldn’t put this book down I was just so into it. Though I had my share of issues with it that I will get into later. Before moving on I just want to say how much I like Samantha Whiskey’s writing, it’s just so clear and so funny when it’s supposed to be. She also does such a great job at establishing secondary characters. Like I loved the scenes with Paige and Jeanine. Very excited to read their stories because I’m sure they’re going to get them. On to why I gave it a 4 and not a 5 it’s almost entirely Gage. He was just so stubborn and I understand that a conflict was needed but it just made him seem so stuck in his ways and not open to anything. Also I just really didn’t like his behavior towards women at the beginning of the book so it threw me a little. Overall though I really enjoyed the book and I give it 4 cups of tea! – Hannah
